    ビジョン再確認と北米進出とVFAの社長交代について  (日本語は英語の後に記述しています。)

    Hi, this is Kawakatsu, President of Vitalify Group.

    Our group vision:
    We will be No.1 smartphone software development company in the world.

    We put this vision on our English brochure when we went to North America on the business trip in September.
    I think that it’s a good chance for me to think in English with ‘English brain’  because it makes me free from the legacy Japanese complicated expressions and makes me simple for thinking.

    My forecast for ‘Web Production Market’ is as follows:
    Around 2020, this industry will be in the same situation of Japanese printing’s market as of today.

    That is ‘2 top Giants’ plus ‘Niche companies’ and plus ‘subcontractors’.
    As you may know, Dai-Nippon Printing and Toppan Printing are huge companies in Japan. The revenues of each company are over 1.5 trillion YEN.
    We can always see the names of  both companies just by looking at any printings and publication materials.
    It’s very difficult to take their market shares at this moment. The others are niche companies, who are working for  ‘seal printing’ and so on. The remaining  are many subcontractor companies.

    I think that ‘Web Production’ market will be in the same situation as noted below.
    Top 1 (or 2) giant(s) plus niche and subcontractors.  It should be very simple structure.
    We have planed to become No.1 Web Production Company by 2020, but it is not easy for us to imagine about the real world after 10 years from now. So we’ve decided to have the plan that we will be No.1 smartphone software development company in the world in 3 years.

    How should we do to be No.1 in the world?

    According to the golden rule that we must take the most successful techniques as tactics, we have to keep focusing on Vietnam. Now, the number of our Vietnamese staff is exceeding over 110. What happens if we will be more than 1,000 staff?  Giant Company.
    Assuming that all staff focus on smartphone development, I think that we can say that we will be No.1 company in this industry in the world then.

    I think that this is the most promising strategy and the most effective and the most competitive way for success.
    Then, where is the most promising place for marketing and sales?
    Only Japan is enough? Next target should be Osaka? Where is the most effective area for marketing?

    To do the research for it, we went to Singapore and San Francisco to look for the possibilities this year.
    As a result, we couldn’t make the business judgement about Singapore at this moment, and we saw several times demands in Silicon Valley and San Francisco bay area than one of Tokyo.

    Here is the evidence. Although our purpose of visiting San Francisco is not sales but research, we got 3 project inquiries. And, all projects have big budgets.
    I think that everyone is feeling that there is huge demand around San Francisco Area.

    So, I decided to expand our business to North America.
    Fujita, Managing Director of Vitalify Asia, is the most suitable person because of his English skill, his original human network, and relation among 3 countries(Japan, Vietnam and America).

    Next issue is who will take care of our company in Vietnam from now?
    Vitalify Asia have to grow from 100 to 1,000 staff in the very short time.
    Which ability is important in the case?
    Adjusting skill?  Management skill?  Surely, variety of abilities will be needed.
    However, in this kind of big changes, we need the strong marketing skill and leadership without any doubt.

    Sakiyama, Co-founder and Vice President of our Sales Division, is the best.
    This is because he has good records for sales and trust from customers as our board of directors.

    To support him, we will also send several support staff from Japan to Vietnam.

    In Japan, Ito will have the responsibilities as a vice president.
    This will be our new management structure from the early of the next year .

    Having said that, if our customers don’t think that there is merit and benefit for them, all strategies and tactics are meaningless.
    So we look forward to listening to our customer’s voice so that we can provide the best service and the performance for our customers.

    これは9月上旬に北米出張に行くときに、英語版のbrochureに記載した内容です。
    今から思い返しても非常にいいきっかけだったと思いますが、英語で物事を考えることによって
    日本語的な曖昧な表現から解き放たれ、シンプルでわかりやすく表現するようになったと思います。

    私の独自のマーケット感として、
    WEBプロダクションはこの10年で印刷業界と同じような構造になるだろうと予測しています。

    すなわち2強+専門+下請けです。大日本、凸版がそれぞれ売上1.5兆円と巨大企業であり、印刷物を見れば
    だいたいこの2社の名前が見られます。寡占状態と言えます。あとは専門分野に強い印刷業者です。例えばシール印刷など。その他は下請・孫請で成り立っています。

    WEBプロダクションも同じようになると思います。
    上位1社(もしくは2社)と専門業者と下請・孫請というシンプルな業界構造に。
    2020年頃には業界ナンバーワンを目指そうと思いますが、10年後は遠いのでとりあえず3年後にはスマートフォンの分野で世界一を目指そうと考えました。

    では世界一になるためにはどうしたらいいか?

    戦術は今まで最も成功した手法を選ぶべきという黄金律に則れば、ベトナムを強化すべきということになります。
